ABOUT THE PROCESS OF TURNING PHOTOGRAPHIC PICTURES INTO FINE ART PRINTS
|
| The exhibition quality B&W and Color prints on view in this Web site are created from 35mm film Images scanned with a transparency scanner at 4000 pixels per inch. Each 19.44 Mega Pixel Image is individually processed in Photoshop using high-end manipulation techniques such as Curves and Channel Mixing along with Selections as these tools provide finer control of the image. Finally, just before being sent to the printer, the Image is scaled to print size, sharpened and where necessary Out-of-Gamut correction applied to the Color Prints. |
